About Rose City Premodern


All our events are judged at a “casual” Regular REL as our focus is on creating a fun community environment among friends and friends-to-be.

  • Intentional draws (IDs) are allowed but generally discouraged - We’re all here to have fun and play as many games as possible!

  • Takebacks are culturally allowed but ultimately are at your opponent’s discretion.

  • Please resolve all judge calls between yourselves, google, and if necessary, nearby players. Call “Judge” as a last resort; judges are also playing their matches!

  • If you have any concerns please reach out to Mose or David via DM’s

  • Most importantly, have fun!

RCP-REL Acceptable Phone Usage During Matches:

  1. Any urgent personal matters obviously

  2. Scryfall searches which you do publicly with your opponent

  3. Scryfall searches which you do privately with the judge

  4. Anything else approved by a TO/judge

Everything else is not ok. Violations may result in game loss.

  • What kind of events do you run? We run our Portland Monthly PreModern Paper Magic Afternoons (PMPMPMPMs) as well as weekly meetups! Please check the event calendar for more info. It’s located at the top of the channels column (the little calendar icon)

  • Do you allow proxies? Yes, proxies are allowed for all events/tournaments/meetups as long as they are easily identifiable from across the table and indistinguishable from the other cards in your deck when shuffled.
